We envision a biblically centered, spiritually vibrant, multigenerational congregation that honors its heritage, strengthens its present, and prepares future generations to follow Christ, serve others, and transform the world for the glory of God.

We will be a church where the Bible is our foundation, Jesus Christ is our center, the Holy Spirit is our guide, prayer is our practice, love is our language, service is our lifestyle, and discipleship is our mission.

We will build upon the foundation of those who came before us—not merely by preserving what they built, but by extending their faithful work into a new generation.

1. We Will Be Biblically Centered

We will remain anchored in the Word of God.

​

In an increasingly changing culture, we will not allow relevance to replace truth. Instead, we will demonstrate that biblical truth remains eternally relevant.

​

We will teach Scripture faithfully, preach Christ boldly, cultivate biblical literacy, and equip children, youth, young adults, adults, and seniors to live out their faith in everyday life.

​

We want a congregation that does not merely know what the Bible says but knows how to live what the Bible teaches.

​

2. We Will Be Spiritually Formative

Church will be more than a place we attend. It will be a people who are being transformed.

​

We will intentionally develop disciples who are growing in prayer, worship, holiness, generosity, wisdom, compassion, and service.

​

Our goal is not simply to increase church activity. Our goal is to produce spiritual maturity.

​

We will create pathways that help people move:

from visitors to worshipers,
from worshipers to disciples,
from disciples to servants,
and from servants to disciple-makers.

​

3. We Will Be Multigenerational

We believe every generation has something to give and something to receive.

​

Our children need the wisdom of our seniors.

​

Our seniors need the energy and perspective of younger generations.

​

Our young adults need a church that sees their gifts, hears their voices, and gives them meaningful opportunities to lead.

​

Our families need a church that supports them in every season of life.

​

Therefore, we will intentionally create opportunities for generational connection, mentoring, leadership development, worship, fellowship, and service.

We will not build a church where generations exist beside one another.

​

We will build a church where generations belong to one another.

​

4. We Will Honor the Foundation and Build Upon It

We will honor those who prayed, sacrificed, served, preached, taught, gave, endured, and built before us.

 

We will tell their stories.

 

We will preserve their wisdom.

​

We will celebrate their contributions.

 

But we will also recognize that faithfulness to the past does not require fear of the future.

 

We can honor yesterday while preparing for tomorrow.

 

We can respect traditions while embracing innovation.

 

We can preserve our identity while expanding our reach.

 

We can say, “Thank God for what He has done,” while confidently declaring, “Lord, show us what You want to do next.”

 

Our responsibility is not to tear down another person's work so that we can claim the credit.

 

Our responsibility is to build faithfully upon the foundation we have received.

 

5. We Will Be Relevant Without Compromising

We believe the church must speak to the real questions people are asking today.

 

We will address faith and family, work and purpose, mental and emotional well-being, justice and reconciliation, technology and culture, relationships, finances, leadership, education, aging, grief, and the challenges facing our communities.

 

But we will address contemporary challenges through an uncompromising biblical worldview.

 

We will not chase culture.

 

We will engage culture.

 

We will not surrender biblical truth in the name of relevance.

 

We will demonstrate the relevance of biblical truth to every generation.

 

6. We Will Develop People, Not Just Programs

Programs matter, but people matter more.

 

Therefore, we will invest intentionally in the development of:

• Children and youth

• Young adults

• Families

• Emerging leaders

• Ministry leaders

• Men and women

• Seniors

• Future pastors, preachers, teachers, and servants

 

We will identify gifts, cultivate potential, create opportunities, provide mentorship, and release people into meaningful ministry.

 

Our greatest ministry accomplishment will not be the programs we create but the people we develop.

 

7. We Will Be a Serving Church

Jesus demonstrated that greatness in the Kingdom is measured by our willingness to serve.

 

Therefore, we will continue cultivating a culture where ministry is not something performed by a few people for everyone else.

 

Ministry belongs to all of us.

 

We will serve our congregation.

 

We will serve our families.

 

We will serve our neighborhoods.

 

We will serve our city.

 

We will serve those who are hurting, marginalized, forgotten, and searching for hope.

 

We will take the words of Jesus seriously:

 

“For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister” (Mark 10:45).

 

8. We Will Be a Church That Invites

We will intentionally create a church culture where people can encounter God, experience authentic community, discover their purpose, and find a place to belong.

 

We will invite people into:

 

Christ.
Community.
Discipleship.
Service.
Purpose.

 

Our invitation will extend beyond Sunday morning.

 

We will carry the presence of Christ into our workplaces, schools, neighborhoods, hospitals, businesses, families, and communities.

 

We will become the kind of church that people are glad they were invited to experience.

 

9. We Will Pursue Excellence for God's Glory

Because we serve an excellent God, we will pursue excellence in our worship, preaching, teaching, administration, facilities, ministries, communication, technology, hospitality, and community engagement.

 

Excellence does not mean perfection.

 

It means offering God and others our best with the resources He has entrusted to us.

 

We will steward our people, finances, facilities, opportunities, and influence with wisdom and integrity.

 

10. We Will Prepare the Church for the Next Generation

Perhaps our greatest responsibility is not simply what we accomplish in our generation, but what we leave prepared for the generation that follows.

We want children to inherit more than a building.

​

We want them to inherit faith.

​

We want young adults to inherit more than traditions.

 

We want them to inherit purpose.

 

We want future leaders to inherit more than positions.

 

We want them to inherit wisdom, character, opportunity, and a strong spiritual foundation.

 

Our prayer is that those who come after us will be able to say:

 

“They were faithful with what they received, and because they were faithful, we were able to go further.”

 

Our Congregational Commitment

 

Therefore, as a congregation, we commit ourselves to being:

Dedicated to service.
Open to innovation.
Faithful to our heritage.
Prepared for our future.

 

We will love deeply, serve faithfully, invite intentionally, disciple consistently, lead courageously, and build faithfully.

 

We will not be defined only by what we have inherited.

 

We will be defined by what we do with what God has entrusted to us.

 

And when our season of ministry is complete, our prayer is that we will have built something strong enough for

the next generation to stand upon, broad enough for every generation to belong, and faithful enough to bring glory to God.

And by the grace of God, we will leave the church stronger than we found it—more deeply rooted in Scripture, more fully formed in Christ, more connected across generations, more committed to serving our community, and better prepared to carry the Gospel into the future.
