Under Dr. Thompson’s leadership, Shiloh Institutional Baptist Church adopted the motto of “Loving God, Loving Others!” His ABC Vision Plan is as follows: A=Always go out of the way to be friendly and hospitable, B=Build for the future by prioritizing and nurturing youth, and C=Coordinate ministry with community residents and partners whenever possible.
Dr. Thompson earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from North Carolina Central University; a Master of Divinity Degree in Preaching and Worship from Shaw University Divinity School; Clinical Pastoral Education at Wake Forest Baptist Health; a Doctor of Ministry Degree in Preaching and Leadership from United Theological Seminary.
Dr. Thompson is happily married to the former Charlena Carlton. He is the proud father of four daughters and one son: Gabrielle Elizabeth, Jamisyn-Leigh Grace, Madison Faith, Aaliyah Monet, and Christian Samuel. He is just a nobody trying to tell everybody about somebody who can change anybody. That somebody is Jesus Christ!
